My name is Paul Versteeve. Originally I am from the Netherlands. I worked as a pedagogue in day centres for adult people with a mental disability. From 1983 till 1997.
organized festivals and theatre choir projects, concert and events, in 2013 Sevilla became the work floor for new activities.
Pedagogue
Intellectually disabled people have problems with processing information and learning. As a pedagogue I did testing, observation the clients and advising groupleaders and staff. We tried to realize client´s integration in the society. My focus was: innovation.
After these around 15 years I studied interactive multimedia design. I developped a CD-ROM, “Learning to chose work”. Here I combined my educational knowledge and technical background. Now clients could learn independently, do in their own tempo interest tests and acquire information about the world of work and jobs.
CONSULTANT
HIER PLAATJE MULTIMEDIA
After working as a pedagogue and as a multimedia designer, after having noticed to be a too early bird for selling computer programs to traditional institutes for intellectually disabled clients, my position changed: got a job as consultant, having to control and check subsidized multimedia projects in schools, cultural and health care institutes.
HIER PLAATJE ZANGOSPIEGELTENT
At the same time I started organizing music events, projects and festivals. The greatest dream I ever realized happened in the years 2010, 2011 and 2012: the Zango Festival where we tried to connect the subcultures singing and tango, performed in the famous Belgian Spiegeltent at the Grote Markt next to the BAVO cathedral of Haarlem.
HIER PLAATJE ART TABLES
From 2007 till 2017 I created a company designing and producing Art Tables, small artistic tables in art deco style, some enlighted.
